Meredith Ratliff
Instructional Design

I am an instructional designer with extensive experience in higher education, STEM, and medical education. I have worked as both faculty and as an instructional designer in academia, worked in commercial settings, and run a non-profit. I believe all students reach their fullest potential when they are actively engaged in the learning process, given the necessary tools to succeed, and are encouraged to think critically and creatively.

Systematic Design
Well versed in multiple instructional design models, including pilot studies to further the AVIDesign model (Agile Evidence-based Instructional Design model) that incorporates agile elements and best evidence in education.
Research
Quantitative and Qualitative Research: Experienced in mixed methods research, design-based research, case studies, literature reviews, scoping reviews plus other analyses such as needs assessments and formative evaluations.

Evidence-Based Education
Evidence-based education helps create effective, engaging instruction using the best available evidence by determining the quality, strength, and relevance of information available, applying the evidence in authentic settings, and assessing the results.
